Preface
Medical education is a long and arduous process but I have had the good fortune to receive appropriate guidance from many generous and intelligent individuals along the way. Two sections here contain my thoughts about the medical education process and I wish to share them with those of you who may traverse this path after me.
There are multiple ways to approach things in life and frequently one approach is not necessarily superior to another. The writings presented here are merely my opinions on specific subject matters and it is up to you to draw your own conclusions, preferably after having reviewed other sources with different perspectives.
One section is presented to patients who wish to learn more about glaucoma. Please check with your eye care professional regarding the diagnosis and management of your condition. I assume no responsibility for the information presented here.
Please use the guest book for comments and suggestions. The end of each section also contains frequently asked questions.
Lastly, I want to give a deep-seeded gratitude to those that have shown me kindness and given me the knowledge, wisdom, and technical skills to reach my goals. According to an old Mayan proverb, "One can pay back a loan of gold, but one dies forever in debt to those who are kind." Although I will always owe you a debt of gratitude, I can start giving back by continuing your tradition of giving to others. John F. Kennedy puts it best when he said, "As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them."
